These utensils are reusable and dishwasher safe, and are certified compostable in a commercial compost facility where available. Home composting is not advised, as they do require a higher heat to break down. The cellulose wrapper is also certified compostable. PLA (polymer made from plants) and Talc (mineral filler). Meets ASTM standards for compostability.
